My Journey: Balancing Ambition, Motherhood, and Rediscovering True Success

Embarking on the path of self-discovery, entrepreneurship, and motherhood all at once can be overwhelming. Looking back at my journey, filled with challenges and accomplishments, I find myself humbled and grateful for the lessons learned along the way. Join me as I reflect on the moments that have shaped who I am today and led me to rediscover what true success means to me.

In 2015, I took a leap of faith by enrolling in the renowned Aveda Academy. That decision marked the beginning of a remarkable journey. Here, I discovered my love for hairstyling, channeling my creativity into transforming clients' looks and making them feel truly special. Little did I know then that this passion would fuel my entrepreneurial spirit in the years to come.

The summer of 2016 was a turning point in my career. Feeling confident in my skills, I decided to embark on a fresh adventure and started "Hair by Casi" as my own venture. This step allowed me to develop my personal brand and build a loyal clientele that appreciated my dedication and attention to detail.

With each passing year, my ambition grew stronger. Guided by my unwavering determination, I launched Ambition Salon in 2017. It was an exhilarating experience to see my vision come to life — a space that radiated creativity, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. The salon quickly flourished, attracting a team of talented professionals who shared my passion.

Wanting to continue to grow and build a team of career oriented driven women, I decided to embrace a new challenge in 2018: building a second salon from the ground up. This endeavor taught me the importance of perseverance, attention to detail, and effective leadership. Witnessing my second salon thrive was a testament to the hard work and dedication invested not only by myself but by the team I surrounded myself with.

In 2019, my life took an incredibly beautiful turn when I welcomed my first baby boy into the world. Becoming a mother brought immense joy and fulfillment to my life. And just when I thought my gratitude couldn't expand any further, my second son joined our growing family in 2021. Balancing the demands of motherhood with my career was a challenge, but it allowed me to discover the depth of my capabilities and the strength that resides within.

As I navigated the pandemic and embraced the chaos of being a new mom with two little boys, I felt a desire to reconnect with what truly mattered to me. I came to a realization that success, in my case, is not solely measured by owning a salon. Instead, it lies in finding satisfaction in my work, building meaningful connections with my clients, and truly making a difference in their lives. This realization prompted me to reevaluate my perspective and make a change.

This year, I decided to embark on a new chapter in my journey. I wanted to focus more on what I loved most — creating stunning looks for weddings and sessions. Stepping away from the intense responsibilities of managing a big salon. I longed to rediscover the joy of heartfelt conversations and making my clients feel truly special. This renewed passion inspired me to expand and refine my skills further.

While continuing to fine-tune my expertise and elevate my craft, I am thrilled at the idea of travelling with my boys for education and hair shows. This allows me to combine my love for travel and my desire to create lasting memories with my family. Introducing them to different cultures and experiences while sharing my passion is an incredible opportunity I look forward to embracing.

As I reflect on my journey, I am humbled by the obstacles I've overcome, and the accomplishments both myself and my team collectively have made together.
